The John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan, Department of Medicine seeks a BC/BE Internist to serve as part time (.5) Nocturnist at this facility. Our hospital is affiliated with Wayne State University! School of Medicine and serves a primary partnership role in t! he medical education of students, residents, and fellows, as well as in clinical and basic medical research. Our Nocturnists work night shifts covering medical needs arising in our on-site nursing home, psychiatry inpatient service, and hospice unit; in addition, they participate in admitting and caring for some patients on the acute-care Internal Medicine Service and Step Down Unit.

U.S. Citizenship
Full unrestricted Licensure required.
Background and/or Security Investigation required.

Must pass pre-employment examination DUTIES:

Requirements:

  • US Citizen
  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from! a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine
  • Mus! t have current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine
