Duties
Provide efficient and effective client focused services within Southern Region associated with procurement of goods and services, asset/store control, delivery service, building construction, maintenance and repairs. Primarily responsible to manage general repairs and maintenance of the grounds, buildings and equipment at the Cambridge complex. Maintain and assist with the operation of various training aids in support of career, volunteer and External Training.

The Head of the State Service has determined that a person nominated for appointment to this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment. Such offences would include, but are not limited to:
- Arson and fire setting;
- Sexual offences;
- Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
- Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
- Making false declarations;
- Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
- Malicious damage and destruction to property
- Trafficking of narcotic substance;
- False alarm raising.
Desirable Requirements
- Have experience in areas of ground and building repairs and maintenance.
- Trades qualification with experience in building maintenance/construction.
- Completion of any relevant courses such as chainsaw operator or basic firefighting courses.
- Highly desirable to hold a current manual drivers licence endorsed to at least Light Truck (LT) level and fork lift licence.
