Position Summary:
Kakivik Asset Management, LLC is seeking a dynamic individual contributor to fill the position of A/P Specialist. This position will work closely with a large team of cross-functional business partners across several member companies and the broader finance team. It is the primary responsibility of the A/P Specialist to ensure the integrity of the Accounts Payable Subledgers, reconcile the AP Subledger to the General Ledger, and to produce timely and accurate AP Aging. Tasks necessary to fulfill this requirement include the daily data entry of AP invoices, preparation of timely payment for amounts due and reconciliation of vendor statements.

- Serve as a representative of the company, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions.
- Enter AP invoices, including employee expense reports, into the system in a timely manner verifying appropriate authorizations and valid cost codes.
- Prepare weekly check runs.
- Produce accurate and timely AP aging's, verifying accuracy of balances, compiling data, and preparing appropriate forms for distribution.
- Prepare reconciliations of AP Subledgers to General Ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and statements.
- Assist customers (internal and external) with requests for information.
- Process inter-company invoices as required.
- Assist with other duties as necessary throughout the accounting department as needed.
- Perform all above requirements in a safe, thorough, and responsible manner
- Complete other duties, tasks, and activities as required

- Thorough understanding of accounting cycles

- Document all key accounting processes and desktop procedures

Requirements:Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Experience with Microsoft office (especially Excel)
- 2+ years of experience in a financial position of similar scope, including general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or cash management
