Description: Medical Doctor Associates is at present recruited Hospitalist Opportunity in Michigan - Locum Tenens right now, this career will be dwelled in Michigan. SW Michigan Hospital with 250 beds is need of Hospitalist coverage for various dates between August-December 2012 with potential to extend ongoing. This is a Hospitalist Group comprised of 13 permanent Hospitalists covering the hospital 24 hours per day. The group is expanding and in need of Board Certified locum tenens Internists and/or Family Practice Physicians who have hands-on inpatient experience within the last year. Daily patient census is 18-22 and the patient mix is adult only.
Shifts are usually 12 hours, 8a-8p or 7p-7a. The position will entail general hospitalist duties to include rounds, admissions, discharge summaries, consultations, H&Ps and EKG interpretations. No procedures, call or codes will be required. There are rapid response teams, run by critical care physicians, who will be the first to respond to codes and handle the procedures for the inpatients.
They will accept shift work, consecutive dates and weekends only so feel free to let me know what dates would work for you. Candidates should be Board Certified, residency trained Internal Medicine physicians with a current ACLS. Family Medicine Candidates will be considered only if they have recent inpatient experience.
