Description: Interim Physicians is presently looking of Locum Tenens Internist Opportunity Available in Coastal Michigan Town right now, this career will be reside in Michigan. Interim Physicians has an opportunity available for a board certified Internal Medicine physician at a hospital in Michigan. The candidate must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. The position is available in December and will be ongoing for approximately 8 months.
Critical Care Job Details
The physician will provide inpatient admissions to the hospital and on-call coverage. 24 hour on-call coverage (8 a.m. to 8 a.m.) will be rotated with three other physicians. The weekend call will be from noon on Friday for handoff of patients to noon on Monday. The on-call coverage will include coverage of the Emergency Department for unassigned patients plus coverage for all IM patients generally 1 weekend per month. Internists cover about 80% of admissions and with an average daily census of 17-18 patients as well as 10-15 patients per day on weekends.
