Description: Healthcare Staffing Solutions, Inc. is looking of Multiple Needs In Northern Michigan right now, this position will be presented in Michigan. The largest institution in the northern Michigan region seeks several physicians to join their hospitalist program. Multiple locations with facilities! ranging from 90 beds to 400 bed tertiary care Level 2 trauma center and referral center with nearly 600 physicians in 57 specialities. Work 12 hour shifts with an average census of 12-16/day. ICU procedures are optional but command a premium â€" includes endotracheal intubation, central line placement, vent set-up/management, pressor management, code management, etc.
These are small, outlying hospitals with general low volume/low acuity ICU. They staff with ICU-capable internists, not intensivists. Non-ICU shifts are available and don’t require procedures. There is no call.
Nights are generally optional, attractive because they are stipend and remunerative. Pay is negotiated directly with provider depending on ICU procedure capability. Compensation model is Guarantee (variable with shift commitment) with aggressive volume incentive plan. Average non-ICU doc makes 240-250k salary (many over 300k).
Added benefits include 14k discretionary payment! (can be used for health, dental, disability insurance and oth! er misc. expenses paid pre taxed with remaining balance paid as income on W-2, malpractice, CME stipend, and a very generous 401k contribution with employee matching (= nearly 50k/yr) Salary reviewed annually with goal of 75 th percentile.
